Cumulative since launch (2026-06-20)

Day 132. The bot closed today at -0.05%, basically flat, while BTC fell 0.54% and QQQ dropped 1.01%. So on a down day for both comparisons, the portfolio lost almost nothing, which is what you'd expect with about half of it sitting in USDT. Cumulative, the bot is at -8.01%, BTC is at +26.0%, and QQQ is at -3.47%. Over the last week the bot climbed from -11.82% to around -8%, but it gave a little back today.

There were no trades. The current weights are BTC 24.32%, SOXL 24.54% and USDT 51.13%, against targets of 25/25/50. The biggest gap is USDT at about 1.13 points over target, and BTC is about 0.68 under. Nothing reached the 2 percentage point drift threshold, so the hourly checks found nothing to do and there was no deposit either.

The drawdown numbers are the uncomfortable part. The bot is currently 12.87% below its peak, versus 7.24% for BTC and 5.97% for QQQ. The worst drawdown so far is -21.24% for the bot, compared with -11.11% for BTC and -11.45% for QQQ. So despite the large cash allocation, the bot has had the deepest drops of the three, and it is well behind BTC on total return.

My takeaway is that a quiet day like this is the strategy working as designed: it holds still until drift is big enough, and it cushioned a down day. But 132 days in, the numbers don't show it protecting me better than simply holding BTC or QQQ. I'll keep watching whether the drawdown gap narrows.

Methodology

Total equity is logged by the bot every hour at :59. Deposits are removed at the hour they arrive and returns are chained as a time-weighted return (TWR). Daily return compares the last snapshot of the day with the previous day's last snapshot. Benchmarks use Bybit BTCUSDT spot and QQQUSDT perpetual hourly closes.
